Cape Town – Leanne Buckham has been appointed chief executive officer of leading direct marketing retailer HomeChoice.
She succeeds Shirley Maltz who has been promoted to group CEO of HomeChoice Holdings.
A chartered accountant by profession, Leanne has returned to South Africa after working in London for the past 22 years. She was most recently a principal at Permira Advisers, one of the largest European private equity firms, where she was responsible for investments in the retail and consumer sectors. She also served as a non-executive director of the British-based global fashion retailer, New Look.
Leanne was previously a director of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and also worked as a consultant at NatWest Bank.
